James Reid and Nadine Lustre went on a candid interview on Tonight With Boy Abunda and, of course, talked about how the both of them fell in love with each other and why it took (SO DAMN) long for them to get together.

Nadine opened up about how she was always so focused on her career to ever think of liking her love team partner James. “Ako ‘nun, trabaho lang talaga. Gusto ko kasi mag-focus po ako eh,” she said.

James, on his part, bluntly revealed he didn’t see her as someone he could fall in love with. (WELL, WE ALL KNOW HOW THAT TURNED OUT)

“Hindi ko siya na-appreciate noon. I couldn’t see her for who she [is]. Over time she grew on me. I think I didn’t appreciate her back then.”
